1…PRAY for Linnet and Bobby, for their health and stamina as they travel and speak throughout the month of October! PRAY for the continued healing of Bobby’s shoulder.
2…PRAY as well for Craig’s strength and stamina, as his travels take him to San Francisco, Stockton, and Sacramento, California this week! 1) Pray that God will bless these conversations and opportunities to share the HBI GP vision, 2) that God will strengthen and develop our partner relationships with churches, 3) and that God will lead many more people and churches to partner with HBI GP in prayer and support of this mission.
3…PRAY for four new church connections that are potential partnerships for HBI Global Partners and for a total of six new churches to partner with HBI this year. PRAY for the expansion of our donor base by 25 new donors before the end of 2023.
4…PRAY for Malini as she fills the role of President of the Bible College for the first time, and for Johnson as he takes the position of Principal of the College, that they each clearly sense God’s presence and His hand filling them with His strength and wisdom in their respective positions. PRAY for God’s protection for the Bible college from the forces that would seek to undermine the mission of the college. “But you, Lord, are a shield around me…” Ps. 3:3a
5…PRAY for Swarna, Linnet, and the team in the Networking department, for wisdom and discernment, as they reach out to needy communities near the HBI campus with the hope of the Gospel, prayers, and practical assistance. PRAY for their school ministries to be fruitful and for the networking staff to stay healthy and continue serving with joy! PRAY also for a sports ministry to be effectively started in two different communities.
6…PRAY for good progress and safety for all as the construction of the new auditorium continues on campus.
7…PRAY for all the graduates who are seeking placement in churches, mission agencies, and Christian organizations and professions to find ministry opportunities and serve well. “Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men.” Prov. 22:29
8…PRAY for Bobby and Linnet as they travel by road today and throughout the month. Pray for protection and alertness on the road, for strength and stamina and good rest when it’s available, and that God would redeem the time given to travel!!
9…PRAY for Bobby and his opportunity to present the vision and needs of HBI to Cross Road Church in South Carolina. Pray that the Lord might open a door here for this church to catch the vision and come alongside HBI in prayer and support of this mission.
10…PRAY for this semester of classes to go well for the Bible college, that they may develop a strong desire to learn and grow in their skills to become prepared for the mission God has for them! May they increase in this fervor, throughout their studies, for the glory of God! PRAY also for the students who are struggling financially, that God would meet all their “needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.”
11…PRAY for the new semester of online courses, specifically that all technological needs would be met, that all needed courses and books would be uploaded without issue and on time, and for the blessing of God on the students completing their studies online.
12…PRAY for God’s continued blessing on pastors returning to their ministries after the pastors’ conference in August…. that they might be energized and renewed in their passion to plant churches, disciple their flocks, and be imbued by God with passion to successfully mobilize their churches to embrace the vision of the conference.
13…PRAY for the mobilization of 200 church planters to be trained in 2023. PRAY that the LORD will give us wisdom to discern those He is directing to this calling and that they will respond to our invitation.
14…PRAY for our 2025 goal of training 2,000 church planters, planting 20,000 churches, discipling 2,000,000 to Christ. PRAISE that we love and serve a God who is “not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” “And this Gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations…” Acts 13:47
15…PRAY for Bobby and his opportunity to present the vision and needs of HBI to Goodview Baptist Church today! PRAY that the Lord might open a door here for this church to catch the vision and come alongside HBI in prayer and support of this mission.
16…PRAY for Craig’s continued strength and stamina, as his travels take him over the next two weeks to Raleigh and Greensboro, North Carolina and then to Virginia Beach, Newport News, and Stafford/Quantico, Virginia! 1) PRAY that God will bless these conversations and opportunities to share the HBI GP vision 2) that God will strengthen and develop our partner relationships with churches 3) that God will lead many more people and churches to partner with HBI GP in prayer and support of this mission.
17…PRAY for Bobby and Linnet as they travel by road today to Chattanooga, Tennessee. PRAY for protection and alertness on the road, for strength and stamina and good rest when it’s available and that God would redeem the time given to travel!! PRAY for Bobby and his opportunity to present the vision and needs of HBI to the First Presbyterian Church, while attending their 72nd Annual World Mission Conference today through Sunday, October 22. Pray that the Lord might open a door here for this church to catch the vision and come alongside HBI in prayer and support of this mission.
18…PRAY for the $400,000 budget to be met for the training of all new church planters this year. PRAISE GOD for the $229,000 that partners have already contributed!
19…PRAY for our present church planters/pastors on the frontlines who faithfully serve the Lord in 23 states….doing ministry even in the midst of problems and persecution. Pray for their health, protection, and courage to stand firm in the Lord that they may be “…strong and courageous” and “Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among all peoples.” 1 Chr 16:24
20…PRAY for Ravi, the new director of INEC, which is the church-planting arm of HBI, that he may transition well and be filled with God’s wisdom and discernment, to help take the leadership of INEC to the next level!
21…PRAY that our partners and new contacts will catch the vision this year to add more workers for the harvest! “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few, therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” Mt.9:37-39
22…PRAY for current and new partnerships on the Gulf Coast and in Tennessee, Arkansas, and Oklahoma as Craig traveled to those places in July. PRAY that God will work in the hearts of those he connected with, to help take the mission to the next level.
23…PRAISE GOD that we have identified an unreached people group that has been selected to be discipled to Christ and have funds available to begin this outreach.
24… PRAY for trained church planters to hear God’s call to this opportunity! PRAY for the raising up of cross cultural church planters!
25…PRAY for a short term team from a supporting church that is traveling to India.
26…PRAY for the expansion of the partnership with Sister India for literacy training.
27..PRAY for the various training programs – both non-formal and informal – in all our RTCs. PRAY for God’s empowerment for our directors, staff, and teachers, and that their lives and their teaching would magnify Christ. PRAISE GOD for the increasing enrollment and success in promoting children’s programs at the RTCs. PRAY for protection for the children at our children’s ministries, and PRAY for the recruitment of reliable, committed staff and teachers. PRAY for new Child Development Centers in various locations.
28..PRAY for the parents of these children to be drawn to the Lord as their children are ministered to through the above programs. “But Jesus called the children to him and said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.'” Luke 18:16
29…PRAY for Bobby and Linnet as they travel by road today. PRAY for protection and alertness on the road, for strength and stamina and good rest when it’s available and that God would redeem the time given to travel!! PRAY for Bobby and his opportunity to present the vision and needs of HBI to the Peninsula Community Church.
30…PRAY for HBI India staff and the leadership team, as well as their families, in various nations for 1) spiritual and physical health and protection, 2) Strength and stamina to persevere, 3) Wise and fruitful use of time, and 4) Unity in serving the Lord. PRAY for HBI GP office staff to function efficiently as a team to serve the supporters of HBI. PRAY for our efforts to add additional supporters and to keep our current supporters informed. Thank you for your prayers – we feel them!

God be gracious to us and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us – Selah.
