Children at Risk
India has over 400 million children under the age of 15, which is more than the total population of the U.S. HBI has cared for many orphans in the past 60 years. Today, we are reaching, teaching and developing over 2000 children through three different approaches:
Child Development Centers
We provide a nurturing environment for spiritual growth and quality education for children between the ages of 4-18, serving children through the 12th grade.
Regional Drop-in Centers
Poor children who would otherwise be wandering the streets after school are taken in for a snack, Bible stories, and tutoring. Hindu parents love our program and are often introduced to Christ.
Day Schools
Our community schools provide a quality education and a brighter future for the under-privileged child who might otherwise have no education. Education is a high priority for every Indian family.
