The Rise of a New Generation

The Rise of a New Generation

THE RISE OF A NEW GENERATION

(ALERT:  Contributions to train new church planters

between now and “Giving Tuesday,” November 28th,

will be matched up to $50,000.)

As Bobby Gupta was speaking to the hundreds of church-planting missionary pastors at the national pastors’ conference this summer in India, he asked the young leaders who had just recently entered the training to stand.  They stood up slowly, as if they did not know how to handle the attention given to them in such a public manner.  Some did not stand until Bobby strongly encouraged them. They did not sign up for recognition or accolades. They knew and understood the mission.
Representative of this new breed is “Rajesh.”  Rajesh is 22-years-old from a northern state in India. He is still living with his parents while he has been serving his local pastor in evangelism, teaching Sunday school, and leading youth meetings. Now that Rajesh is being trained to plant churches, he focused on a particular village of mostly poor, illiterate people who worship Hindu idols. Among them is a 21-year-old named “Mandeep” who had been suffering from malaria and typhoid fever for two months. Although Mandeep had been to several doctors and was on medication, his temperature would not go down.

Rajesh, while making house visits with a prayer team, met Mandeep and prayed for him. He immediately felt better and was encouraged. After seeing some improvement, his family brought him to a worship service. Rajesh prayed for him again and experienced a miracle when Mandeep was totally healed. The entire family gave their hearts to Christ and are being discipled to follow Him. A church is born in this unreached village. Rajesh is now targeting two new villages, knowing that God is with him and will continue to lead him to see similar results.

These young leaders are highly dedicated men of prayer and devotion. God is honoring their sacrificial living to fulfill His mission.

HBI has 260 of these newly called church planters who have submitted their lives for on-the-job-training, like Rajesh. They are joining the 1200 who are already planting churches all over India. More still are coming into the training process as we prepare for 2024. It is a revival of “laborers” called to the harvest. It reminds me of Psalm 110:3, “Your people will be volunteers in the day of Your power…”

These young men must be trained. All that is needed are the resources. One of our partners has offered to match, up to $50,000, any gift given toward the training of this new generation of church planting missionary pastors. That means that any gift you give will be doubled! We are asking you to pray about giving toward this wonderful opportunity between now and Giving Tuesday, November 28th.

You may give by clicking HERE to donate. Or you may write your check to HBI Global Partners and put on the note line: “Church Planter Training.” Send your checks to HBI Global Partners, PO Box 3037, Broken Arrow, OK 74013.

Thank you so much for praying and considering this opportunity. It is guaranteed by the grace of God that people will come to Christ and churches will be planted all over India.
